Telfair Museum of Art can be dated to the year 1886 when Telfair family home got opened to public in the form of a school and an art museum. Right now, it contains 3 diverse sites- original building; Telfair Academy of Arts and Sciences, i.e. a ‘National Historic Landmark Building’; the ‘OwensThomas House which is also one of the national historic landmarks, and ‘Jepson Center for Arts’; which can be described as a modern building which goes on to house art-forms of 20th and 21st century.
