Tourist Guide Stockbridge
The city of Stockbridge is situated in Henry County and is located in the Piedmont section of northern Georgia, USA. It is spread over a total area of 28.5 sq km and has a total population of around 22,000.
Stockbridge has topography typical to Georgia, with rolling hills and flat plains. The city is characterised by a humid, subtropical climate. The temperature in winter ranges from 1°C to 15°C. In summer, the temperature ranges from 22°C to 32°C.
The area was established in 1829, when Old Stockbridge Concord Church was organised. Stockbridge was incorporated as a city in 1920. It was named after Levi Stockbridge, a respected professor who often used to travel through the city.Explore map
