A city in the Gwinnett County of Georgia, Suwanee is spread over 10.8 square miles of area and has an estimated population of 16567 as per the 2009 City estimate. With beautiful parks and a gamut of events the year round this place began as a small agricultural town and has since then grown as a quality residence for the people living here.
It was incorporated in 1949, the main source of income being agriculture. It was only after the development of the highways in 1970 that the city progressed to becoming an economic powerhouse
Suwanee offers a varied mix of the entertainment and recreation facilities. Its proximity to the North Georgia Mountains and the mild winters make it a perfect place to enjoy the outdoor activities like hiking along the 500 acres of trail. However the summer months in Suwanee can be warm and sticky with the average high in summers in the upper 80s.
