Tuck Museum
Tuck Museum goes on to house Hampton Historical Society. On the physical front, it comprises of several buildings, artifacts, and monuments; which would be found at ‘Park Avenue’ in Hampton. Hampton Historical Society was, in actual sense, incorporated in the year 1925 in the form of a ‘Meeting House Green Memorial Association’ for having honored Hampton’s original settlers. One of the descendants of these families, i.e. the families which had come together to form this society called Edward Tuck proved to be generous enough to have donated funds to buy a home on site of original house. As such, land which surrounded the house got laid out in the form of a park; and house got transformed in to a museum that was appropriately named ‘Tuck Museum’.
Paintings by ‘Charles Henry Turner’ would be found in this museum. Old postcards depicting churches would also be found.
Timings
This museum remains open on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 1300 and 1600 hrs.
