The resort town of Haiku is situated in Maui County on the northern shore of Maui in the Hawaii Islands, USA. Spread over an area of 85.5 sq km, it has a population of over 9,000.
Haiku receives moderate rainfall during the year. In summer, the average temperature is around 26°C, and in winter, the average temperature is around 22°C. Even though the area experiences high humidity, the rapid winds prevent it from getting uncomfortable.
Surrounded by a tropical jungle, the small town offers many outdoor activities as it has many hiking trails and easy access to beaches. Windsurfing at the famous Hookipa windsurfing beach attracts many young people.
