The Hana Cultural Center was built in 1983 and consist four authentic Hawaiian hale, a living hale along with a meeting hale. There is also a cooking hale and canoe storage hale. The walls and the terraces of the museum are built in a fashion which echoes the high refined agrarian techniques of earliest settlers of Hana. There are over 560 artifacts, over 680 bottles and books and 5000 photographs of Hana district.
