Iolani Palace is an elegant Italian Renaissance structure situated in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Constructed in early 1880s, it is the only royal palace of America. The Palace was home to the last two rulers of Hawaii. Three of the four floors of the building are open for tourists who are mesmerized by the ornate throne room and koa-wood staircase.
The palace is also home to a wealth of plasterwork and detailed furnishings.
