Honolulu Zoo is situated on the eastern side of Waikiki inside the famous Queen Kapiolani Park. It is in fact located at Kapahulu Avenue corner and between the slopes of the famous Diamond Head.
This is one of the largest zoos in the region which stretches around 2300 miles around Kapahula. With more than 1230 animal species, this zoo is specifically designed to accommodate several animal species such as White Rhinoceros, Sumatran Tigers, Komodo Dragons and many more.
It is actually a wonderful place not just for the elders but also for the kids who love watching animals and like to come closer to the nature.
