Founded in 1900, the Honolulu Symphony is the oldest American orchestra to the west of Rocky Mountains. At present, this theater has begun its second century too and strives to bring great music to the Hawaiian Islands. Even though it has undergone many transformations over the course of its first century, it still responds to the opportunities and challenges of its time. The mission though remains intact. This is to enhance the quality of life of the people of Hawaii.
