Reviews Kahului
Kahului can be described as one of the CDPs, i.e. census-designated places located in ‘Maui County, Hawaii, US’. Kahului actually lies on Maui Island. It is the biggest community upon the island.
Kahului goes on to host main airport of Maui, i.e. Kahului Airport, various viable shopping centers, light industrial regions, and deep-draft harbor. This place isn’t considered to be a tourist place; still it has a few attractions. It is instead known as a retail center; especially with regards to residents of Maui.
Moreover, there are numerous malls as well as stores (inclusive of department stores within Queen Kaahumanu Center). The other stores are located in Lahaina; like Lahina Cannery Mall, Maui Mall and Maui Market Place, and shops of ‘Wailea’ in Kihei.
With arrival of ‘big-box’ retailers all the way from mainland of the US, retailing changed a great deal. This led to the inception of Home Depot and Wal-Mart.
The climate is humid. Hence, it’s advisable to visit Kahului during the winter season.
The population as per 2000 census was 20146.
