Kapaa has a tropical climate. The average summer temperature is around 27°C, but it does not get uncomfortable due to the cooling effect of the trade winds. In winter, the average temperature is around 18°C.
Kapaa means ‘solid’ in Hawaiian. The area was predominantly agricultural, boasting of large sugar cane and pineapple fields. Today, owing to its lush beauty and immaculate climate, tourism has become very significant.
This historical plantation town offers a range of activities and sightseeing to its visitors. It is blessed with a diverse topography consisting of river valleys and rain forests.
