The city of Līhue is a census-designated place (CDP) and the county seat of Kauai County, Hawaii.
This city is the second largest town on the Hawaiian island of Kauai having a population of 5,674 Līhue is served by the Līhue Airport and the main seaport is at Nāwiliwili Bay, which is directly southeast of town.
Notable county administration buildings along with Kauai's largest shopping center and several other big stores like K-Mart, Wal-Mart, Home Depot and Costco
Though this is not a monopoly on the island it does have a cluster of many shopping centers to the north in Kapaa.
Temperatures in Lihue remain fairly consistent throughout the year with some variation. August and September are the hottest months of the year, during which the average high temperatures reach the mid 80’s. January and February are the coldest months of the year, wherein the average low temperatures drop to the mid 60’s.
Tourists can consider getting their jackets along as the evening gets cool and pleasant. It rains a lot in Lihue so choosing the correct time to visit this place is fairly important as November and December are the wettest months though June is the driest month.
