At the Kamakou preserve, one can get to see some two hundred rare plants which can be found in plenty. One can tread the three mile round trip of Kamakou boardwalk through the rain forest and the primal bog. At this rain forest preserve, one can view some rare native plants and birds. On such expeditions, be prepared to bring along a camera, jacket and shoes.
