Manoa Falls is a huge waterfall tucked behind the lush green Manoa valley and is one of the most beautiful attractions in Oahu.
The waterfall drops down a height of hundred and fifty feet into a small pond which is filled with boulders. The hike to the waterfall takes about an hour and can get slippery during the rainy season.
The hike takes you through a bamboo forest at the base of the Ko’oaus Mountains which is near Waikiki and it is recommended that you do not swim or drink water from the stream.
While hiking here take safety precautions like carrying rain gear, water, a first aid kit and staying on the trail. This hike to the Manoa falls meanders through lush vegetation and is not laborious but it is better if you go there in a group or with some company.
The Lost and Jurassic Park have been filmed at this location.
