For those who love surfing there is a number of surfing centres in Oahu which provide surfing facilities for beginners as well as veterans.
The north shore in Oahu is a place where a number of professional surfing competitions are held each year. Hawaiian Surf Adventures offers surf lessons by using boats which ensures safety and fewer crowds.
Family members are allowed to accompany the trainee and they offer group surf lessons as well as private surf lessons. Girls Who Surf is another centre which offers a fun and friendly experience of learning surfing for beginners as well as advanced level surfers.
The surfing lesson takes about two to three hours and the centre offers meals as well. Hawaiian Fire Surf School is the main surfing centre which has professional instructors who are fire-fighters and award winners.
The centre provides you with all surfing equipment and the lessons are taught at a private beach near Waikiki.
