The Coeur D’Alene Resort and Golf Course attracts international star golfers because of its excellent 14-hole turf (the fourteenth hole has the world’s only movable floating green).
Lake Coeur D’Alene has excellent beaches and views along its nearly 50 km course. Watch the bald eagles as they hover around the Wolf Lodge Bay. The lake also hosts the Taste of the Coeur D’Alenes (a charming food, arts and music festival) in early August.
The Silver Mountain Resort is located 30 minutes away in Kellogg and is America’s favoured four-season destination. It has the Gondola Village which offers rides on the world’s longest gondola, apart from fascinating skiing and hiking trails.
The Coeur D’Alene Casino is ideal for an entertaining evening away from the centre of town. Do interact with the Coeur D’Alene Tribe, which sell fireworks outside the casino in the summer months. You can also discover the history of the region at the Museum of North Idaho.
