Tourist Guide Idaho City
Idaho City can be mentioned as a city located in ‘Boise County, Idaho, US’. It is, in fact, situated at a distance of around 36 miles on the north-eastern side of ‘City of Boise’. Not only that, it’s also its county seat.
Idaho City had been founded adjoining confluence of Mores Creeks and Elks as ‘Bannock’ in the month of December, 1862; that too, amidst ‘Boise Basin gold rush’. As the population kept on swelling, Idaho Legislature 8underwent a change. As such, name of the town was changed to Idaho City for averting confusion with ‘Bannock, Montana’.
Idaho City is amongst the most significant locations with regards to local ‘Masonic’ history.
The year 1867 witnessed foundation of ‘Grand Lodge of Idaho’. Idaho was on the top when population of it went up to tens of ‘thousands’. However, majority of them deported after decline on the count of mining.
The area of Idaho city is 1.8 sq. Km (all land).
