Tourist Guide Island Park
Island Park is a city in Fremont County in Idaho, USA. This city has a population of around 200 people and occupies an area of a little over 19 sq km. The earliest settlers in the Island Park region were Native American tribes. The first European settlement began in the late nineteenth century.
The area is a result of volcanic activities and is home to one of the largest caldera (crater) in the world. Mount Jefferson, River Snake and Lake Henry are some of the important geographical features of this scenic city.
Island Park has warm summers and cold winters. On average, the days are warm and pleasant throughout the year. The maximum average annual temperature is approximately 10°C, while the minimum average annual temperature is nearly –4°C.
