Island Park is more famous for its natural adventures than the traditional night life of the youth, like discos and pubs. However that does not mean that this place has nothing for such visitors.
There are some really good places that could be listed like the Happy hour bar & Lounge, Coach Room lounge, Oregon Short Line Restaurant and Three Bear Restaurant and Gizzy Lounge. One destination that is a must visit for anybody here is the Island Park Reservoir and the banks of the Snake River.
The Yellow Stone National Park is just a little outside Island Park and is a real beautiful treat. This place is the closest and has a lot to explore. The 8th Annual Ripley Butte Challenge is one event that is like a mini Olympiad with 10 K, 5K and walking completions.
The locals enjoy it and the visitors too have fun. However apart from enjoyment, it is winning spirit that makes the contestants to prepare well for this event.
