Tourist Guide Kellogg
Kellogg can be described as a city located in Shoshone County’s Silver Valley; which is a portion of ‘Idaho Panhandle’ in US. It lies at a distance of around 58 Km on the east-southeastern side of ‘Coeur d’Alene’ alongside ‘Interstate 90’. The name ‘Kellogg’ has been derived from ‘Noah Kellogg’, a prospector. According to Legends, his donkey was wandering off on 4th of September, 1885.
Kellogg could locate the animal, i.e. donkey at a huge extension of ‘galena’; that went on to become a ‘site’ of ‘Sullivan Mines’ and ‘Bunker Hills’. The former ones led to discovery of ‘Kellogg’, i.e. a city where in the ‘local sign’ reads “It’s the town discovered by ‘jackass’ and occupied by descendants”. As per US Census Bureau, area of Kellogg on the whole is 5 sq. Km; out of which 0% is covered with water.
The climate is cool. So, visiting during the summer season is preferable.
Population as of 2000 was 2395.
