Tourist Guide Ketchum
Ketchum City is located in Blaine County in central Idaho, USA. It is in the Wood River Valley and lies adjacent to the famous skiing destination—Sun Valley. Along with the tall peaks of the central Idaho Rockies, the 2800-m Bald Mountain towers above the valleys.
Ketchum is served by the county’s Friedman Memorial Airport which is located 24 km south in Hailey. The state capital, Boise, is a 2.5-hour drive away.
At an elevation of 1800 m, the city experiences around 250 days of sunshine annually. Average temperature in the summer is around 26°C while in winter it can fall to –5°C. The city gets ample snowfall (around 164 inches).
Ketchum has a population of around 3,000 people. With its plethora of natural activities and skiing facilities, tourism is a year-round profitable economic activity for the city.
