Pocatello is situated in Bannock County in the south-eastern region of Idaho, USA. This city is inhabited by some around 54,000 people and is spread over an area of around 73 sq km. It is among the largest cities in Idaho. This region was once inhabited by Native American tribes such as the Shoshoni and Bannock.

Pocatello is located along River Portneuf. Its terrain is a diverse mix of plains, hills, rivers, snow-capped mountains, lush greenery and so forth. Pocatello mostly enjoys a pleasant climate. The maximum average annual temperature is around 19°C, while the minimum average annual temperature remains around 2°C.

Pocatello’s economy has been showing consistent growth, and the Idaho State University (located in Pocatello) is credited with employing the maximum number of people in the city. The tourism industry is also one of the major contributors to Pocatello’s flourishing economy.
