Many well known musicians from the Chicago blues era have been buried here. Some of the notable people include Willie Dixon a musician and songwriter, Otis Spann one of the blues pianist, Dinah Washington who was known as Queen of the Blues, J. Mayo Williams one of the 1st black players in NFL and the record producer of the blues and jazz music.
