Tourist Guide Aurora
Initially, it was a Native American village situated on the banks of the Fox River. Aurora is known as the “The City of Lights” for as it was the first ever city in United States for introducing all Street Light System in 1881.
The Climate of Aurora city is about 44 Degrees Celsius. The city experiences natural calamities like tornadoes which occur annually. This city still receives huge snowfall and blizzards periodically.
Aurora is divided into three regions, the west side, the east side and the Fox valley, which is the Far East side of the city.
The city has a population of 0.1 million.
The city was an industrial hub until 1974. One still sees a bit of activity of this front with major players like Aurora Silver Plate Manufacturing company, the Chicago corset Company, the Allsteel Metals. In 1981 the city had an Economic Development Commission which helps to attract and retain business in the city.
