Batavia is a city in the State of Illinois in the United States.
It is situated in Kane and DuPage counties. This city has a total area of around 9.2 square miles of which some 23.4 kilometers of area is land and other 0.4 kilometers is water.
The city has a population of just about 25,000. Along with Geneva and St. Charles this city is a part of a Tri-Cities area.
Fermilab which is known as the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory is situated in Batavia. This lab specializes in high energetic particle physics.
