If you’re looking for some bargain shopping or just a place to meander around for a few hours, Chicago’s Buyer’s Flea Market is an interesting place to visit.
Open from 8:00 am to 5 pm every Saturday and Sunday, there is a 50-cent cover charge (25 cents for kids and seniors) to get into the market. They have everything from leather goods and clothing to stereos and pets. There is an indoor and outdoor section as well as a food court with a wide variety of food options. Even if you’re not looking to score a bargain, this is a good place to wander around on a cold day and munch on snacks from the food court.
If you want to avoid the crowds, be sure to get there before 10:30 or after 12:00, as that’s when it’s busiest. There is free parking, but it fills up fast during peak hours.
Not sure I would make this a priority stop on a visit to Chicago unless you desperately need to do some bargain shopping, but if you’ve seen all the sights and you’re looking for something to do on a cold winter’s day, the Buyer’s Flea Market is worth swinging by to see.
