Chicago O’Hare International Airport, also known as O’Hare airport, is situated in the north west of Chicago in Illinois in USA and is the 2nd busiest airport in the world in terms of passenger traffic which amounted to more than 76 million passengers in 2007.
The airport is run by the City of Chicago Department of Aviation.
The airport has been awarded the Best Airport in North America by readers of Global Traveller Magazine and Business Travellers Magazine.
The airport has 4 passenger terminals and 186 aircraft gates.
The various airlines operating from here include United Airlines, Lufthansa, Air Canada, and Continental Airlines, Northwest Airlines, JetBlue Airways, American Airlines and others.
Passengers can avail of rail transportation services from the O’Hare Transfer station which provides shuttle services to the airport also by car and taxi.
