For nightlife Chicago has it all, from trendy bohemian cafes to explosive dancefloors, fashionable bars and exclusive clubs, it can all be found here if you know where to look. Bars tend to stay open until 2am or 3am and dancefloors normally make it through until the dawn.

Head to the Lincoln park area of the city close to downtown for cafes restuarants and bars as the night begins. A few good ones are Geja’s cafe on Armitage Avenue, Le Colonial restuarant on North Rush Street or Gibson’s Steak House again on Rush Street.

To kick the night into top gear its time to head to some of the bigger clubs and busier spots. For example Ruby and Wet and Crobar are always lively with great dancefloors each. Vain nightclub offers another option but it is best to look for specific events and venues as the good international DJs tend to play at a variety of places.Weekends tend to be more priciey, so look for Thrusday and Sunday night events for great parties on a tight budget!
