The Chicago Park District has around 552 parks about 30 kilometers of municipal park land and 33 sand beaches along Lake Michigan. There are 9 museums and 2 world class conservations along with 16 historic lagoons in Chicago. You can find ten bird and wildlife gardens in this city. The Lincoln park is considered the largest of the parks having 20 million visitors per year. There are also some ongoing renewal projects for the existing parks and a number of new parks like the Ping Tom Memorial Park and the Millennium Park.
