Old Town Triangle
The Old Town Triangle District, between North Ave, Lincoln Ave and Wells St is a designated Chicago landmark and features rows of beautiful cottages and Victorian-era buildings as well as St. Michael’s Church. Unveiled in 1869, St. Michael’s was one of only six structures to survive the Chicago Fire.
Visit Twin Anchors Restaurant and Tavern to dine at one of Chicago’s oldest restaurants or stop by Bistrot Margot for French cuisine and pleasant ambiance.
Old Town shopping consists primarily of boutiques with unique artisan goods as well as specialty shops such as The Spice House or the Up Down Cigar Shop.
The Old Town Aquarium, which stocks freshwater and saltwater fish from around the world is worth a visit. As is The Old Town Art Fair, a one-weekend festival held every year in June. It’s one of the premier neighborhood festivals in Chicago and has been going for over 60 years.
