Dekalb has very good transportation facilities for roadways, railways and also the airport here which attracts a lot of tourists to the city. There are round about 7 public schools, 3 private schools and 1 university which is quite a lot as compared to the size of the town. Many students from nearby villages come here for educational purposes since there are no facilities for education in their village. Delkab is a wonderful place to visit due to the presence of various parks, reservoirs, churches, cemeteries, etc. There are many parks in the city for relaxation, recreation and entertainment. The much popular parks include the Lions Park, Huskie Stadium, Hopkins Park, Shipman Park, Liberty Park, etc. The Lions Park consists of reserves of lions which is a place of attraction for small children. There are many churches that have been constructed here for increasing religious feelings among the residents. Some of them are listed here which include Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Saint Mary Catholic Church, First Lutheran Church, Open Bible Church, United Methodist Church of DeKalb, etc. Other notable locations include the various shopping malls and centers in he town.
