Evanston is a suburban municipality located in the Cook County, Illinois. It is surrounded in the north by Chicago, in the east by Skokie and in the south by Wilmette. It is considered to be the home of the Northwestern University. According to the 2003 Census the city recorded to have a total population of around 74,360. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city is supposed to have a total area of about 7.8 square miles out of which 7.8 square miles is covered by land with only 0.25 percent under water. Residents here particularly belong to the White Community, so the city has also developed some religious places like churches. Christianity is a sole religion followed here. Due to its location in the northern part of the country it experiences a cool climate. The city often experiences cool breezes in the beginning of the year and the climate remains moderate the rest of the year.
