The city of Galesburg is located in Knox County in the state of Illinois, USA. It also acts as the county seat. This town was named in honour of George Washington Gale, a Presbyterian minister. Established in 1857, this city was home to the first anti-slavery society in Illinois.

The economic boom of the city began with the railroad being laid through here. With a population of around 33,700, most locals are engaged in commerce and industry.

The annual average temperature is around 16°C. It is best to avoid travel between the months of November and February, when the temperature is low.
