Glencoe is a small village located in Cook County, Illinois, United States. Glencoe is located on Chicago's wealthy Northern Shore. It’s location on the western side of Lake Michigan is one of the scenic beauty found here. Glencoe always appears on the lists of the wealthiest communities of United States. According to the 2000 census the village recorded to have a population of about 8,762. According to the United States Census Bureau, the village is supposed to have an entire area of 3.8 square miles amongst which 3.8 square miles consists of land and 0.1 square miles of it is water. Thus only 1.5 percent of the area is covered by water. The village is good enough for the purpose of cultivation of crops and agriculture. The mostly commonly preached religion over here is Christianity. The city experiences a cool climate with snowfalls in the month of January and February. Rest part of the year the village has a humid climate during the day time.
