Lincolnshire is an affluent village situated in the Vernon Township region of Lake County. A suburb of Chicago, it is adjacent to Cook County. Incorporated in 1957, this village hosts many festivals annually. Its first settlers were Native American Potawatomi migrants from Wisconsin and Canada.
Since 1998, this village has been a Tree City USA and has won the Tree City Growth Award for thirteen consecutive years.
2000 census show the population of 6,108 people. By 2009, its population reached 7,616 people. And since 2000, it has had a population growth of 20.06 percent.
As per the US Census Bureau, Lincolnshire has a total area of 4.4 square miles of area, 4.0 square miles is land and 0.04 square miles is water.
Lincolnshire lies in a humid continental climate zone experiencing an average of 36.28 inches of precipitation each year. July is hot with 82 degrees and January is cold with 13 degrees.
