The Mundelein Lake is an extremely beautiful lake located right in the centre of the city of Mundelein. The lake is named after the city. The lake comprises a total area of around 4 acres and is a fresh water lake. Fishing is done to some extent in the Absecon Lake by the local people just for the sake of fun and not as a profession. A small park is also now built up near the lake which adds to its beauty.
