Normal can be described as one of the incorporated towns located in county of McLean, Illinois, US.

Normal was originally called ‘North Bloomington’. It had been founded under name of ‘Normal’ in the month of February, 1865. Incorporation on the official level took place in the year 1867. This name was, in fact taken from ‘Illinois State Normal University’, i.e. a teacher-training institution (normal school) situated over here.

According to census conducted in the year 2000, population of Normal was reported to be 45386; with its density being 1286.6 per sq. Km.
