North Chicago is an outer suburb area of the Greater Chicago. It is an incorporated city in Lake County in Illinois, United States. North Chicago hosts the Great Lakes Naval Training Center and also the manufacturing headquarters of Abbott Laboratories.
The city is also home to Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine and to Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science.
The population of North Chicago was 35,918 as per the 2000 census.
