Anderson Japanese Gardens in Rockford has been ranked as the best Japanese garden in North America. Hoichi Kurisu designed the garden. Burpee Museum of Natural History is located just north of downtown. Burpee Museum has three floors of accessible exhibits. Visitors using wheelchairs or strollers may be dropped off at the Main Entrance, with free handicapped parking nearby.
