Incorporated in 1956, Schaumburg is located in the counties of Cook and DuPage in the state of Illinois, USA. This region has a rich history, originally home to Native Americans, followed by German immigrants. This region was initially called Sarah’s Grove and derived its current name from Schaumburg-Lippe, where most of the German immigrants came from.
The construction of a toll road through Schaumburg propelled this region into growth. It is now an important business centre, hosting the headquarters of Motorola.

With a population of around 73,300, most locals are engaged in commerce and industry. Schaumburg has a significant Asian and African-American population.
