Tourists visiting the beach and lake area of Waukegan must take care while entering into the water. Never let kids swim alone in the lake water, as the danger of rip currents can be risky to life.
The rip current is a strong water current which rips off the person into the inner area of the water. Apart from this, there is no specific danger for the tourists in the Waukegan city. However, tourists must take care of following factors.
The tourists visiting the city must carry valid visas and passport. Always carry two photocopies of the important documents while traveling. Hence, in case the original document gets stolen, it can be remade.
Never leave the luggage in a public area without attending it as tourists are generally the targets of pick pockets and thefts in unknown places. Hence, stepping out after dark must be avoided as much as possible.
Money must be exchanged from authorized lenders only. The banks which offer currency exchange are the safest for exchanges.
