Another point of interest is the Chicago Golf club which is a prestigious private golf club on the south side of the city. It is the oldest 18 hole golf course in the nation and also one of the 5 original clubs that founded the United States Golf Association in 1894.
There is also the Wheaton Park District which has received the National Gold Medal for Excellence by the National Park & Recreation Association thrice in the past 15 years. The park has almost 52 parks that cover more than 800 acres of land.
There is also the Wheaton Public Library which is ranked as one of the top 10 libraries in the nation compared to other libraries. This library adjoins serene Adams Park.
