Fort Wayne, a city in Indiana, USA, was incorporated as a city in 1840. It has a population of around 223,000, with a majority of the population being immigrants from Germany and Ireland.
This region was under the Miami forces for quite sometime. Under George Washington’s regime, three battles were fought after which it came under America’s control.
This city has a continental climate with cold winters accompanied by snowfall and hot, humid summers. There can be extremes of climate with spring and summers occasionally experiencing tornadoes. The topography of the region is basically flatland with a few hills, wetlands and two rivers Saint Joseph River and Saint Mary River.
The economy of Fort Wayne for a long time has been dependent on the manufacturing industry with the automotive industry being the most important one.
