This little treasure of a museum is tucked away on Senate Avenue with just a few small rooms and unique urban feel to it. The Indianapolis Museum of Contemporary Art houses a rotating line of exhibitions, including “My Son Future Time Traveler,” “Inner City Inspiration,” “Reflections of Sea and Light,” and “Informal Relations.”
The museum also offers "iMOCA 101," a topics-oriented art appreciation class held from 5:30pm to 6:30p.m. on the third Wednesday of every month. The classes are led by a university professor and are intended to "educate the public on contemporary art trends of today." They are free to the public
Located at the Murphy Art Center in Fountain Square, the museum is open Thursday through Saturday from 11:00am to 6:00pm and is closed on holidays and between exhibitions. Admission and parking are free. For more information, call (317) 634-6652.
