An ideal location for family fun and recreational activities on a picture-perfect summer day, the White River State Park offers a host of activities for visitors that want to do more than just lounge around in the sun, see the park and have some fun.
Visitors can glide through the park and experience a scenic tour of the 250-acres of green space with a Segway rental (tour prices include a training session and use of a helmet) or rent pedal-powered recreational cycles and boats (located next to the Indiana State Museum).
Those who prefer to see things by foot, are able to walk, jog, or rollerblade along the Central Canal and Canal Walk Cultural District. The mile-and-a-half long canal runs from the White River through the Park, then heads east and north to 11th street. During the summer months, visitors can also enjoy a gondola ride.
