Indianapolis is known for its excellent parks and recreation complexes, with The Taggart Riverside Park being one of it’s best. With land over six miles long in length, the park is packed with plenty to do for people of all ages. Some of its amenities include a Family center, Gymnasium, a weight room, a craft and ceramic room as well as a seasonal Aquatic Center.
In addition, the park also has plenty to do for the fitness-minded. Twelve tennis courts, two baseball diamonds, two playgrounds, several picnic shelters, basketball courts and football fields help get Indianapolis’ citizens stay fit and healthy all year round.
The Taggert Riverside Park is located five miles from the downtown area and is open to the public Monday through Thursday from 11:00am to 9:00pm, Friday 11:00pm to 8:00pm and Saturday from 10:00am to 4:00pm. The park is closed on Sundays. For more information, call (317) 327-7171.
