Lanier Mansion: Is a well known museum of the Madison city. It has even been selected as a national historical landmark in 1994. This museum is surrounded by a large area of garden and play parks. Jefferson County Historical Society: This is the artificial, historical museum of the city which displays the history of the Civil War, which occurred here. Madison Railroad Station: It is the oldest Railway Station in the City and was open for the public in 1895. This station was created during the war.
