Fairgrounds Park

Fairgrounds Park is said to have the biggest complex pertaining to soccer fields and ball diamonds all over Valparaiso. Basketball court and playground are also being made available. Several ‘city sports’ leagues make use of ‘Fairgrounds Park’ with regards to their tournaments and games. A ‘paved’ walking circuit surrounds the park. It’s well-occupied on holidays.

David Garland Rose House

David garland Rose House had been built in the year 1860. The person, i.e. David Rose had been a businessman of local caliber. ‘Gothic Revival House’ is the only one of its kind. It’s an octagon. Every out of 8 labels is inclusive of decorated panels of wood. 3 sides have been covered with porches. The popularity of octagon house rose with publication of ‘Orson Squire Fowler’s’ book ‘A Home For All’. This happened in the year 1849.
