Warsaw enjoys the credit of being county seat with regards to Kosciusko County. This city is amongst the quickest growing regions all over Indiana. As it is surrounded by Center Lake, Hidden Lake, Pike lake, and Winnoa Lake, the sobriquet of ‘Lake City’ has been given to it. It should be noted that the other cities which are adjacent to Warsaw are also identified by this nickname.
The ‘Tippecanoe river’ goes on to pass via Warsaw’s western part. As per US Census Bureau, total surface area of Warsaw is 29.9 sq. Km; out of which 9.26%25 consists of water.
Warsaw can be credited for being the 1st Orthopedic Capital of the World. From this fact, one can conclude that it’s a home to 1st ‘orthopedic device manufacturer’ which had been started in the year 1895 by none other than ‘Revra DePuy’ of ‘DePuy Manufacturing Company’. Medtronic, Inc. and Zimmer, Inc., i.e. subsequent competitors and ‘Biomet’; all have been established in Warshaw for supporting the industry.
The population as per 2000 census was 13082.
