The city of Cedar Falls is located right at the centre of the state of Iowa. An American man named William Sturgis found out this city when he was moving out with his family. The people of Cedar Falls till date honor the cities founder the Sturgis every year since ancient times. The city has a national holiday on the birth of William Sturgis every year. Much before the civil war took place the city of Cedar Falls was already famous for its mining industry all over America. Since old times the city has been an industrial centre for the complete state of Iowa. Geographically the city is quite large and stretches up to 79 square km in area. In spite of being so large in area the population here is less as per the area available for colonies. As per the latest census the city holds a population of around 37,000. The climatic conditions in Cedar Falls are very extreme. It experiences hot summers to the extreme and when it comes to winter, it is also cold to the extreme. Basically it has a type of Humid Continental climate.
